The Hotel Mision Conca was built in the main house of an XVII century Hacienda called "San Nicolas Conca" and whose main activity Was sugar production. Originally, the hotel's restaurant was a "trapiche" (sugar mill) It is said that in the XVII century, the owners of the Haciendas were permitted to have 99 properties and that "Hacienda San Nicolas Conca" was the 99th property and was the owned by and North American named "Sharptom".
